Find a firm and message them

Once you’re listed, Connect is a list of firms you could work with, closest match first.

Firms are sorted by how many of your cities they cover. The best matches sit at the top. Each row shows the firm’s name, how big it is, the cities it covers, and how many of those you cover too.

Cities you both cover are highlighted in blue. The rest are places that firm works and you don’t.

The buttons above the list filter by city, and the search box finds a firm by name. Both stay in the web address, so a filtered list survives a reload and can be sent to somebody else.

The button on the right changes with the state of the relationship.

Button What it means
Message You’ve never spoken. Pressing it starts a conversation
Open thread You’re already talking
Review proposal They’ve proposed a partnership and are waiting on you

A firm waiting on your answer is highlighted. It’s the only row that needs a decision rather than a look.

Tap a firm’s name to open its profile. It has what that firm chose to share: units under management or brokers on the team, its usual rents, how many units are vacant right now, how quickly it approves changes, and how many firms it works with.

The side panel is the useful part. It lists every city the firm covers, marks the ones you cover too, and shows how many of your own listings sit in each. If the firm has vacancies where you work, it says so plainly.

Partner names stay private on both sides. You see a count, never a list.

Press Message. The conversation opens in Messages, alongside your team chats. A firm’s picture is a rounded square. A person’s is a circle.

Say who you are, where you work, and what you’re looking for. You can attach a file or link one of your own listings, the same as any other message.

Only a firm owner or a listing manager can start one of these conversations.

The conversation is the whole relationship until somebody proposes a partnership. That happens in the conversation too, and is covered in Partnerships.
