Flag a listing
Sometimes a listing doesn’t match the Google Sheet it came from: the rent is different from the sheet, it’s the wrong unit, or it’s still up after the sheet marked it rented. Flag tells the UnitBook team that the import got it wrong, so they can fix it.
Owners, admins and listing managers can flag listings. Brokers can’t.
Flag a listing
Section titled “Flag a listing”-
On Listings, tick the box on each listing that has the problem.
-
In the bar at the bottom of the page, press Flag.
-
Under What’s wrong, add details if they help, like “Rent is $2,450 in the sheet”.
-
Pick the reason that fits.
| Reason | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Should be delisted | The sheet marks the unit rented or off the market, but the listing is still up |
| Should stay live | The sheet shows the unit as available, but the listing was taken down |
| Wrong address / identity | The listing shows a different building or unit than the sheet |
| Duplicate listing | The same unit shows up twice |
| Wrong rent | The rent doesn’t match the sheet |
| Missing from sync | A change in the sheet never made it in |
| Color/status not detected | UnitBook missed a row color or status in the sheet |
| Other | Anything else. Say what in the details |
A flag icon now sits next to the address. Hover over it to see the reason and your details.
A flag doesn’t take anything down. Brokers keep seeing the listing as it is until it’s fixed. If a listing needs to come down right away, delist it as well.
Flag from the phone app
Section titled “Flag from the phone app”-
On Listings, tap Select in the bar at the bottom, then tap each listing that has the problem.
-
In the toolbar, tap More, then Flag.
-
Under What’s wrong, type any details that help.
-
Tap the reason that fits. The listing is flagged as soon as you tap it.
The phone app has no Flagged tab. A flagged listing leaves Published, Review and Delisted and only shows under All. To see everything that’s flagged, open Flagged on the web.
To take a flag off from the phone, find the listing under All, select it, tap More, then Flag, and choose Clear flag.
The Flagged tab
Section titled “The Flagged tab”Flagged listings move out of Published, Needs review and Delisted and into the Flagged tab, so they don’t get in the way of your other work. They still show under All.
To take a flag off yourself, select the listing, press Flag and choose Clear flag. The listing goes back to the tab it was in.
When it’s fixed
Section titled “When it’s fixed”Once the UnitBook team fixes the listing, they clear the flag. Whoever flagged it gets a notification, Flagged listing fixed, in the bell and on their phone.
Listings from a partner
Section titled “Listings from a partner”Units that a management company shares with you through Connect come from their sheet, not yours. You can still flag them. Instead of marking the listing, UnitBook sends the problem to its team as a report. The reasons are shorter: Wrong rent, Wrong address or unit, No longer available, Duplicate listing and Something else.
A reported unit comes off your brokers’ list right away, for your company only. Other brokerages still see it. A gray flag on the row reads Reported to UnitBook, so nobody on your team reports it twice.
Once UnitBook fixes it, the unit comes back for your brokers.
If the sheet is wrong, tell the management company that keeps it. See Missing units for units that never came in at all.
