Roles and seats

Everyone in UnitBook has a role. It decides what they see when they sign in.

Role Who has it What they can do
Owner Whoever created the workspace Everything, including the team and billing
Brokerage Admin Invited. Helps run a brokerage Everything an owner can do
Listing Manager Invited. Works on the listings Listings, sheets, photos, deals and messages. Not the team or billing
Broker Invited. Shows units to clients The broker portal only

You can invite people as Brokerage Admin, Listing Manager or Broker. You can’t invite anyone as an owner, so there’s no way to hand your company over by mistake.

This is the part that surprises people. A broker doesn’t get a smaller version of your workspace. They get the broker portal instead: a clean list of the units that are ready to show.

A broker never sees your listings queue, your spreadsheets, your team or your billing. If they try to open one of those pages, UnitBook simply takes them back to the portal.

What brokers see covers the portal in full.

If you run a management company, you invite Listing Managers only. Your units reach brokers a different way: you give a brokerage access to your inventory, and those brokers have seats at their own company, not yours.

Owners open Team, click the person, and pick a different role. If ownership itself needs to move to someone else, email support@unitbook.app.
