Import a Google Sheet

UnitBook reads a property manager’s Google Sheet and turns each row into a listing. It keeps checking the sheet after that, so your listings stay up to date when the manager makes changes.

Before you start, make sure you can open the sheet yourself. If the manager hasn’t shared it with you yet, ask them to.

  1. Go to Sources and click Import Google Sheet.

  2. Sign in to Google. You only do this once. UnitBook can only see the files you pick in the next step, nothing else in your Google Drive.

  3. Pick the sheet. You can choose more than one.

  4. Choose the tab. A spreadsheet often has several tabs along the bottom. UnitBook shows you a preview and a row count. If it says 4 rows and you know the manager has 60 units, you’re on the wrong tab.

  5. Name it. Use whatever you’d call that manager out loud. “Rivera Group” is easier to find later than “Copy of 2026 availability FINAL v3”.

  6. Import.

Every unit UnitBook can read becomes a listing waiting for you in Needs review. Nothing is published yet, and no broker can see anything.

Next: Review and publish.

Each sheet you’ve connected has a card on the Sources page showing when it was last checked. The menu on the card lets you:

  • Sync now, to check the sheet straight away
  • Pause, to stop checking for a while, which helps when a manager is rearranging their spreadsheet
  • Reimport, to point at a different tab
  • Delete, to disconnect the sheet. Your listings stay

If UnitBook couldn’t read some rows, the card shows Import issues and tells you why. See Why a unit didn’t come through.
