Review and publish
Everything a sheet brings in waits in Needs review until a person says it’s good to go. This page is about being that person.
The tabs
Section titled “The tabs”The buttons above your listings are different views of the same list.
| Tab | What’s in it |
|---|---|
| All | Everything |
| Needs review | New and changed listings waiting for you |
| Published | Live for your brokers right now |
| No media | Listings with no photos yet |
| Delisted | Taken down, by you or by the sheet |
| Flagged | Listings you’ve marked as having a problem |
Below them you can narrow things down by city, bedrooms or sheet, and search by address. Your filters are kept in the web address, so a view you use every morning can be a bookmark.
Working through the queue
Section titled “Working through the queue”-
Pick one sheet. If four sheets updated overnight, going one manager at a time is much faster, because each spreadsheet has its own quirks.
-
Look at what changed. Rent and availability are worth a second look. A slightly reworded address isn’t.
-
Fix anything wrong. Click a listing to correct it and add photos.
-
Tick the ones you want. Use the checkbox on each row, or the one at the top to select everything you’re looking at.
-
Publish. A bar appears at the bottom. Choose Published.
Publishing a few hundred listings takes a few seconds. Let it finish.
The other buttons
Section titled “The other buttons”As well as Published, you can send listings back to Needs review, take them down with Delisted, or delete them. Management companies use Under construction for units they’re still preparing.
Flag marks a listing where UnitBook read the sheet wrong. It’s a note for your team, and it doesn’t change whether the listing is published.
Partner listings
Section titled “Partner listings”Listings labeled Partner come from a management company that gave your firm access. They’re already published by their owner, so you can’t edit or publish them. Your brokers can see and show them.
The one rule to remember
Section titled “The one rule to remember”The manager’s sheet has the final say on whether a unit is available. If they mark it rented, UnitBook takes it down, even if you published it an hour ago. It’s their unit. If you think the sheet is wrong, talk to the manager.
